Training Ground:
This is all that is within the fenced off area and whilst on any part of the training ground ALL dogs must be on a lead at ALL times. The area at the top of the concrete steps is OUT OF BOUNDS to us so plese do not use this area.
|
Training Times:
SUMMER - Wednesday evenings 7.00pm
WINTER - Sunday mornings 10.00am
Summer training starts on the second Wednesday in April. Winter training starts on the first Sunday in October BUT please check these changes with the Committee beforehand. Training is never cancelled at short notice due to weather etc. If there is a public event on at Knavemire we use our alternative training ground, this is at the end of the road running along the back of the Stand (where the car boot sales are held)
|
Hygiene:
You MUST clean up after your dog, both on the training ground and the Knavesmire in general. A bin is provided next to the main gate.
|
Equipment / Clothing:
Dogs - the correct equipment must be used for training. The trainers will help with advice on what is needed and a shop is available for most items. ALL PROFITS from the shop go back into Club funds, so please support the Club if possible.
Handlers - Correct clothing is very important. Good shoes are essential and loose/flapping coats etc. must not be worn.
SMOKING whilst training your dog is strictly not allowed.
|
Agility:
The Agility equipment must NEVER be used without an Instructor on hand.
|
Children:
Must be with an adult and MUST be supervised at all times.
|

Are available after training, and whilst a charge is not made, there is a jar for donations towards the cost of tea, coffee etc.
|
Please remember: All our Instructors are fully qualified B.A.G.S.D. Instructors and give their time totally free of charge with the aim to help you own a well behaved, obedient G.S.D. both for you to enjoy and to cause no nuisance whatsoever to the general public. |
